When you become a vampire you'll have to do whatever your "proselyta" tells you. He or she will guide you through the first 35-40 years after you are turned. Theres a probability for you to have a vampiric disease, but this probability is very low (less than 0.1%). Some of these diseases include being partially human, have only two powers, not being able to turn others and others, which are less common.
