Sunlight

The idea vampires can't touch the sunlight is in part true and in part false. Not all of us can touch sunlight, it's a special power (one of the Three Vampire Powers). When a vampire walks through sunlight and doesn't have the power this is what happens:

Mirrors

Most vampires can't be seen in a mirror, camera, or whatever thing that can catch or reflect their image. The  light passes through us making us invisible, but we are not invisible to the human eye because

Garlic

All vampires can eat garlic, but there's no reason why to do it.
